اصلاح انحراف فک بالا (چرخش حول محور Yaw) یکی از چالشی ترین درمانها در ارتودنسی هست به این علت که نیاز به انجام دیستالیزیشن در یک سمت و مزیالیزیشن در سمت مخالف میباشد. در این کیس به غیر از این چالش مشکل غیبت مادرزادی دندان لترال سمت چپ بالا  رو داشتیم و از طرفی بیمار درخواست درمان ارتودنسی بدون جایگزینی دندان غایب با ایمپلنت رو داشت، از این رو تنها انتخاب جایگزینی دندان نیش به جای دندان لترال و جایگزینی دندان پرمولر اول به جای دندان نیش بود که روند درمان رو بسیار پیچیده تر کرد. از این رو تصمیم به استفاده از تکنیک MEAW جهت تسریع در  چرخش فکی و جایگزینی دندانها شد (تسریع چرخش فکی با MEAW به علت دیستالیزیشن در یک سمت و مزیالیزیشن در سمت دیگر بصورت همزمان میباشد). دندان عقل سمت راست فک بالا در طول درمان کشیده شد.

. ️Its been always a big challenge to treat cases with deviation around Yaw axis (Yaw Rotation) because what we need to do is distalization on one side and mesialization on the other side. In this case we had such challenging and also there was missing upper left lateral which patient did not wanted to replace it with prosthetic implants hence the only possible choice was to substitute upper left canine for upper left lateral and upper left 1st premolar for upper left canine which made it more complicated case to treat. I decided to treat this case with MEAW technique in order to fasten the rotation and having the distalization of right side and mesializarion of left side simultaneously. Upper right 3rd molar was the only extracted tooth in this treatment. With MEAW everything is possible.
