simple mechanic would create significant change if it is planned properly. In this case the impacted canine is located buccully to tooth No 42 and it is severely tipped mesially with the crown covering mid root of tooth No 42 and the root tip is beneath the root of tooth No 44. The tooth No 44 were extracted (the treatment plan were settled for 1st bicuspids extraction in all quadrants) and a distalizing moment applied to the crown of impacted canine after uncovering. Since the force is applying from buccul side (mini screw between tooth No 45 & 46) the impacted canine will move lingualy while distalizing and since the root of impacted canine is located exactly where it should to be then a simple distal tipping will move the impacted canine to its proper position.
