در بسیاری از بیماران ارتودنسی میتوان درمان رو بدون جراحی فک انجام داد اگر تشخیص اولیه به طور اصولی انجام شده باشد و طرح درمان بر اساس علت و اتیولوژی ناهنجاری پایه ریزی شود.در این کیس دختر ۱۵ ساله همراه با انحراف شدید فک پایین از آنجایی که علت انحراف فکی رویش غیر قرینه و بیش از حد دندانهای خلفی فک بالا همراه با رویش بیشتر در سمت چپ بود تصمیم به درمان ارتودنسی بدون جراحی فک شد. در نتیجه در روند درمان اقدام به اینتروژن دندانهای خلفی (اینتروژن بیشتر در سمت چپ) شد. درمان در مدت ۲ سال به پایان رسید و نتایج حاصله بدون انجام جراحی میسر شد.

In many cases we could avoid surgery if we start the treatment with proper diagnosis and plan the treatment based on the cause and etiology of the problem. In this case which is a 15 years old girl with mandibular deviation i decided to treat the case without surgery since i found out that the cause for deviation is differential over eruption of maxillary posterior teeth with more eruption on the left side. Hence intrusion of posterior segment with more intrusion on left side done for this case. The treatment took 2 years and the result achieved without any surgical procedure.
